Easter Explained

We had a great Easter! Easter Egg hunt on Saturday at the church, Easter Morning with Easter Baskets and then off to church to celebrate the true meaning.

The boys are getting to ages where they are starting to get the concepts of things and here is how Benson explains the TRUE meaning of Easter: "Easter is about when Jesus took a dirt nap and then he came back to life in three days and said BOO!" Now here is the story behind it.... We don't let the boys say things like, "I killed you," or, "your dead," so instead they have to say, "Dirt nap" when they are talking about little boy fun stuff like cowboys and Indians and when they get the cowboy or Indian they take a DIRT NAP. Then the reason for the "BOO!" At the church Easter Egg hunt one of the teachers was explaining the story to all of the little kids and she asked if anyone knew what happened after Jesus was resurrected. One little boy raised his hand and said, "Ya I know, he jumped out of the bushes and said BOO to Mary!" Apparently Benson took that as WORD, and thus his explanation was complete!
