Heavenly Father

On Friday Benson, Britton and I were laying in bed watching Star Wars. I started to drift off and I ended up putting a pillow over my head. Benson kept talking to me off and on and asking me questions about what was going on while him and Britton were gone. He asked if we (myself and Dan) had planned anything for this weekend that we would do as a family. I told him that on Saturday we were going to go see Harry Potter. Well when I told him this the pillow was still over my head and it came out a bit muffled. Benson took a deep breath and all of the sudden I heard him turn to Britton and exclaim in PURE JOY, "Britton, on Saturday we are going to see Heavenly Father!!!!" From there Britton took a deep breath and asked, "Really?!?!!" I wanted to laugh at the cute miscomunication, but realized that if I did the boys would be even more crushed than they were about to be. I sat up and had to tell them that I said Harry Potter and not Heavenly Father. The look of complete sadness over took both of their faces. It was so hard to look at those little faces with their sad eyes and realize, but it reminded me of the absolute purity of a child.
After it was said and done and a few hours passed I finally started laughing about it, because in the end it is funny, but Benson will not stop asking Dan and I how long it will be before he can see Heavenly Father. OH BOY!!!! Good thing we go to church :)

Picking Up The Boys Tomorrow!!!!

The boys have been with Steve (their biological father) since June 28th and I am flying out tomorrow to go and get them! I have missed them BEYOND WORDS. This is the longest I have ever been apart from them and it has been really hard on me. Sure the first week was nice, but after that I WANTED MY BABIES HOME!
They have been having a blast though and I am so thankful for that. They have been going on fourwheeler rides, eating their Grandma Anita's famous breakfast, and they found out this trip that Steve has a "robot leg". I laughed so hard when they told me that. It will be a few more years before they understand exactly WHY he has it, but I figure that story can wait for them.
Even though it is so hard to be away from them I know they need this time with Steve and so for that I am happy. I know they are being well taken care of, loved and just enjoying themselves to the fullest!!!
Tomorrow just can not get here soon enough! I will fly out at 6 a.m. and I will be traveling all day and will actually fly back home with the boys tomorrow night at 11 p.m. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I will be tired, but of course my babies are worth it!

GOING BACK TO SCHOOL

I am so excited! Dan and I have been talking a lot about getting our degrees and what we truly want to do. He is only 22 credits away from his B.S. in Business Management! Well.... I have decided to go back to school in Fall of 2010 to get my Associates as an RN! I am really excited and can't wait to look into everything! I am waiting a year so we will only have to put Edward (our baby to be) in Day care for a couple of years instead of putting both him and Britton in, but as soon as Britton goes to Kindergarten I am headed to College! YEAH! I am super excited!

IT'S A.....

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are so excited. I know I have been hoping for a girl, but as soon as we saw him he just FIT! We will be calling him Edward after Dan (Edward is his middle name), and I am still due on November 14Th.
The ultra sound was so fun. I saw he was a boy right before the doctor pointed it out. We got to see him go to the bathroom, which I have to say was a pretty funny "show." You never really think of babies going potty in there, but I assure you THEY DO! He was so cute as they were trying to take his measurements, he was sleeping and yawning and just wanted nothing to do with the camera. He was putting his hands over his face and his arms as if to say, "don't you dare wake me up!" But we finally got all the pics we needed.
Thanks to EVERYONE! Oh also, if you want to send any hand me down boy clothes we will be happy to have them :) HA HA!

Warthen Family Reunion!

My Beautiful Mother (Connie) and her two Beautiful sisters Barbra and Gayle. The Warthen Girls!

The boys and I got the chance to head to Salt Lake City in June to attend my family reunion. Growing up my family would go to the Stoker family reunion that honored my mom's mom and her five sisters and I have so many great memories of those reunions. Now we have reunions that honer my mom and her two sisters (Barbra and Gayle)and I hope my children will make and have great memories of these reunions as they grow up. We had so much fun and it was so nice to see everyone there. I laughed so hard every day and the boys had a BLAST. Benson made a new best friend, his second cousin CJ. They were inseparable from the first time they met and it was a hard goodbye for them to part at the end.
We spent most of the time swimming and the boys were SO BRAVE. At the first place we went to there was a huge water slide that they both ran to and went down all by themselves before I could Even ask if they wanted me to go down with them. AND... Benson jumped off the HUGE high dive because he said, "I want to because CJ is." So off he went and belly flopped, but hey.... HE IS AWESOME!
This past year my Grandpa Ralph Warthen passed away and I did not get to attend his funeral, but I am so thankful that I was able to go to the reunion. It brought so much peace to my heart and the closure that I so badly needed to truly say goodbye to him and feel the love as all of the family honored him the last night. We told sweet memories, funny stories, and just got to let it out as a family.
I was especially thankful to see my mother, my aunt Barb and my Aunt Gayle whom I truly love and honor so much. I have amazing women in my life that I hope in my own life I can truly take all that I have learned from them and apply it to become the person I still strive to be.

My favorite cousin Katie and Me (I have not seen her for three years), we are only a year apart and we have so many memories together as we grew up:

Britton coming to tell me he is having a blast swimming with his cousin Breck:

Braden was the only one who got injured during the reunion due to a motor bike accident, but he was such a trooper. We hope he gets better soon!

This is the house that my Great, Great grandmother was born in! Still standing after all of these years. We got to hear amazing stories about her, I am so thankful for my ancestry!

My mom and Aunt Barb dressing up like Pirates the last night to tell some jokes as they hosted "Talent Night":

The boys after the last night.... they played their hearts out with their cousins!
