Here are some pics that Dan was able to send me today! I thought I would share them with all of you. He is doing great, and is working hard! I asked him if the pic of the huts are what the people there actually live in and he said that is what almost everyone lives in... Sad. He has already been there for almost 5 weeks. I pray the rest of the time goes by just as fast! Thanks again to everyone that prays for him, I know it truly helps!
The boys and mine first official trip is FINALLY going to happen! We are going to Disneyland( April 23-26).
The only other place I have taken them is Idaho, which was really fun, but come on... THIS IS DISNEYLAND! I am so sad that Dan won't be able to come with us, but am thankful that my mom is coming and will be able to spend the time with us and make some memories before we head east.
Benson keeps reminding me that the first thing he wants to see is the Princesses and he wants kisses from them all, such a ladies man! Britton is so excited about the Pirates, but I know once we get on the ride his eyes will be closed the whole time.
OK I just had to share my excitement with everyone. I just bought both the tickets and booked the hotel. YEAH YEAH YEAH! I might be more excited than the boys!
Today is mine and Dan's One Month Anniversary! I can not believe how fast time has gone by! This gives me great hope that October will be here before I know it.
I just can not believe how happy I am! Dan is AMAZING! I can not believe how loved I feel even with him being half a world away. So far we have been able to talk almost every day, but as of today that might change. He is now on his base he will be on for the remainder of his time there and phones and Internet are limited. I am so grateful for the time I have been able to talk to him the last couple of weeks, it makes him being so far away not so real.
One thing I have realized is that I am moving in about 8 months which means I really need to take advantage of the time I have here with my Family and Friends. Also I am putting it out there that when I am back with my wonderful hubby on the east coast EVERYONE is welcome to visit whenever they darn well please!
Thanks to everyone for their support of the marriage and the support of Dan being gone! We both appreciate it so much!
Daddy Dan gave the boys their first Dog, Saturn! A 60 pound Boxer that the boys absolutely are having the time of their lives with. It took Britton longer to warm up to him than Benson, but now they both can not get enough of him.
On Saturday we gave Saturn his first bath which was SO MUCH FUN! He kept shaking all of the water on to the boys and of course they laughed and thought it was a game. Then Saturn helped them build a road in their dirt in the back yard (by sliding his paw along the ground), and they jumped on the trampoline with him for hours. It is nice to see the boys taking care of something. They feed him, give him water, and even take him for walks around the back yard.
Sunday the boys went on their first bike ride of the year, and I think Benson is ready to take his training wheels off of his bike! Britton zoomed around on his trike and I think he is now ready for his own bike with training wheels. We went riding for almost 2 hours and by the end the boys were exhausted.... YEAH A LONG NAP WAS IN STORE!
I loved having a break, but two weeks was too long to have my boys gone from me. I am so happy they are back to have weekends like this!
I currently live in Holly Ridge, NC. I have been married for almost three years to the love of my life and between the yours, mine and ours we have five kids and one on the way! I eventually would love to apply to Med Lab school, but before I do that I have a bunch of little schools to go to.... such is life!
