North Carolina

I just had the most AMAZING trip to North Carolina. I would say "IN MY LIFE," but seeing as how I have never been there before, I just have to stick with the MOST AMAZING TRIP to North Carolina....
I went to see my Friend Dan, who I met at the beginning of July while I was Grocery Shopping (which for those of you that don't know, that is what I say when I meet someone on-line). Not only was North Carolina BEAUTIFUL, but Dan has to be the best looking man I have ever seen! I love that we have so much in common. He has the cutest kids, a boy and a girl TWINS! Both of us are LDS, both have been to one side of the line and then realized the other side was better, and both of us are in love with the 90's. OK the last one was just me, but I am working on his obbsession for all that was good in the 90's!
I have never been further east than Illinois so this trip was a big deal to begin with. I was going to the EAST COAST! ATLANTIC OCEAN! That in itself was exciting. Flying in I was glued to the window with the colors of green from the trees and blue from the ocean, the beauty soon faded though as I got off the plane and could not breath. HUMIDITY!!! What is that?!?!?! Well aparently it makes it hard to breath for those of us who are use to sucking dry air down our lungs.I am sure I looked hideous with traveling all day, but there Dan was and all I have to say for how he looked was, "WOW!" Dark Skin, BIG brown eyes, huge perfect smile, muscles from head to toe.... if you are not drooling right now, just look at the pics of him! When you are set up on a blind date and you go at least if you realize the two of you are not mixing you can go home, I was stuck here though, and to be honest I wish I was still stuck there on that awesome blind date! FRIDAY TO SUNDAY, that is not going to do it for me.... I need more time with him.We did so much and had such a blast. My favorite part was the Marine base (he is a Marine, which may explain why he is muscles from head to toe). I did not realize that a base is like a CITY! I was amazed. They even had a mall, A MALL on the Marine base! AMAZING TO ME! The Atlantic is georgous, and the smell of him living only two miles away from the shore is wonderful!
He made me feel ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, treated me like a Princess and I can feel myself wanting more and more of him. Almost like an addiction, we'll see if later on I need to go to Dan Anonymous classes....

GRATEFUL FOR MY LIFE

I have started dating again and I have to say... I am SO grateful for my life! I know that divorce is such an ugly thing, but I feel that everything that I feel the boys and I went through has been able to stay in the past.

I try to date men that are fathers themselves and have been married, for the fact that I think they know a little more about where I am coming from and what my world is. Most of these men are absolutely amazing, but it breaks my heart how much they still have to deal with when it comes to their ex's and their children.

For me, and I honestly feel this way, I feel that I have been able to forgive Steve and to truly forget a lot of the things that happened. When I think of him I hold no bad feelings or ill will. In fact I am thankful for him. Some of you may be saying "WHAT?" but it is true. I always say you HAVE to give credit where credit is due. Steve pays his child support, he calls the boys every weekend and if I ever need anything for the boys I know I can count on him to get it. I feel lucky that I don't have to worry. In return I feel like Steve and I are able to get along and that we both understand that we don't need to hold on to the past, but rather look towards the boys futures with them as the main focus.

I see these men who no matter how hard they try the ex wives still have so much anger towards them. It hurts my heart that children will have to grow up knowing that their parents have hard feelings against each other.

Even though life did not turn out the way I thought. I love my life, I love my boys, I love that the divorce put me closer to the church. I am grateful it put a kick in my step to get me to the temple, I am thankful that it taught me forgiveness and charity. I am thankful that it constantly teaches me not to judge and to always look for the good in others, no matter how small. If I had to go and do it all over again I WOULD! No doubts about it. I hope that when others see me and they knew who I was back then to who I am now they can honestly say I am a different person. I feel that I have grown and been able to become the person I have always wanted to be, but never had the strength before to become.

I am so grateful for my wonderful family! My Mom (and her new husband), my brothers and their wonderful, amazing wives, for my sister and her amazing husband, and for my beautiful boys. Also for Skips (my mom's husband) family who I am beginning to know and admire. I am thankful for my amazing girlfriends. and boyfriends, and for my church friends. I love love love living in AZ and being able to be close to all of you!

From the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone for their constant support, love and understanding. I am so grateful for where I am in my life!

Loves!
