I am so excited for 2011! 2010 was a good year and I am really looking forward to 2011 being a great year too!
I had a total of four goals last year (for 2010) which were: 1. To get my body back in shape - which I did, but then I got preggers again, so.... 2. To get all my co reqs and pre reqs done for my RN, but that did not happen and even though I am still pursuing a job in the medical field I am taking a different route. 3. To really take good care of my skin due to Edward's pregnancy really doing a number on it.. AND I DID! But again, I am preggers again and that will just be another battle for 2011. My fourth goal for 2010 was accomplishing A LOT preschool wise with Britton AND I DID! He learned all of his letters, sounds, numbers and so much beyond that! I am very confident he will excel through school, just like Benson has and I plan on doing on going schooling with him at home, even beyond his school studies.
SOOOOOOOO! Really I only missed one goal out of four, so I am pretty proud of myself and even though I missed my goal of my co reqs and pre reqs I still feel accomplished for the schooling I have done this year and where I am going with it.
SO NOW WE ARE IN 2011, DAY ONE! I have GREAT goals this year that I am really planning on sticking too, and can't wait to see the end result next January 1st! So here they are (in no particular order):
1. AGAIN, getting my body back in shape after ANOTHER baby. This may be repetitive, but it is true. I need my body to be a certain way in order for me to feel more confident. I don't mean that to sound shallow, but as a women I need to feel attractive and at my best ESPECIALLY after having four kids. I really want to make sure that by the end of 2011 I am healthy, in shape, and know that I am treating my body as a temple when it comes to health and fitness.
2. SCHOOL - In 2010 I completed my CNA I training, My CHA state test, and my MED Aide class. So in 2011 I need to do the following: CNA II school and CNA II state test, Med Aide state exam, Med Tech State exam, and my Phlebotomy training and state exam. PHEW! That is A LOT! But as soon as I finish all that I will be ready to start working as a Phlebotomist and start my "experience" in the field so I can one day attend Lab Med School! YEAH!
3. With having four kids, I fear that I will somehow spread myself too thin. So for 2011 my goal with the older boys is to do the following and really follow through. I want to put them in Piano (a musical activity), I want to put Benson in the Chess club at school and Britton on the Scrabble team at school (this will be there academic activity), and then just ONE sport a year. At this point I am not sure what they will choose, but it is up to them and they will get to explore what they would like.
4. FINANCES. Wow! The military really threw us a curve ball this year and we will now be making $100 less per month than we were making in 2010. AHHHHH! I can't even explain how hard this is to take. So if there is ONE THING I AM and LOVE ABOUT MYSELF it is that I am OCD when it comes to finances. SO! My goal is to keep on track even though we are making less. TO keep trucking and get us in the same place I wanted to get us come the beginning of 2012. I am not sure what we are going to do yet, but where there is a will there is a way and I plan on finding that way!
5. TO GET ACTIVE IN CHURCH! We have really been slacking on this SO MUCH and we really need to get a grip. It is hard because our church is 30 min. away and with all the kids it is hard, but instead of only going once per month we are going to try to flip that and go every month except maybe once. :) With Benson getting baptized this year we really need to let him know how important church is and how we want all of our children to find some type of joy in it!
So here are my goals! I am excited to get them done and check them many times throughout the year. I love setting goals and I love that every year it gives us a fresh start on starting over!
Happy New Year to everyone, and GOOD LUCK on your own goals!
As a PS goal I will have blogging at least once per week! I need to keep my blog up better, I know I am missing so much of our families history and I need to get better at it!
