Benson graduated from Kindergarten (his last day of school was June 11th)!!!
It was so cute and see his school program. They all got to wear BIG HUGE flowers on their heads and sing songs they had practiced ALL YEAR LONG! It was so cute, as Benson entered the Auditorium he looked around for me and as soon as he saw me he threw me the "I love you" sign! JUST MADE MY WHOLE YEAR! My little boy is not afraid to throw the sign in front of 100's of people! He sang his little heart out and was the cutest thing (well at least in my mind)!
Afterwards we went to his classroom and he received his promotion certificate and also earned the title of MOST OBSERVANT in his class. As his teacher said, "Benson notices EVERYTHING! Don't even try to get anything past him... YOU CAN'T" His teacher went on to say that by the third week fo school her and her assistant could no longer talk in code because Benson figured it out. HA HA, welcome to my world! Never can I try to pull a fast one over on this boy!
I AM SO PROUD of his progress through Kindergarten. He tried so hard to do the best he could and he did great. He came home with 3's (perfect scores for the day) at least 90% of the year. He did get into one fight and he made the other kid bleed, but I must say I am proud of him for sticking up for himself after this little boy had bullied and pushed and hit him. BOOM! Benson was finally done taking it and scratched the kid on the face. He felt so bad afterward! All I could do was hold him while he sobbed. I think the Assistant Principle made him feel so bad before I got there and when I did get there she had no more time to talk to me. How convenient, you make my child cry and then have no time to talk to me.... You best believe I wrote the board about that one!
We have SOOOOOOOOOO much artwork from this year for him and daily journals that we will keep forever. GOODNESS, next year he will be in first grade!
