Summer 2010

We sure had a BUSY summer this year and are looking at a BUSY school year too! As soon as school let out at the end of last year we had a few weeks to get the boys ready for a FIVE WEEK vacation to go see Steve in Utah, but before we did that we went to Arizona so I could visit my family! I have not been back to AZ since I left in 2008 and it was a MUCH NEEDED trip. It was so nice to see my whole family, eat a Sunday dinner with them, play games, and just be a family again with my siblings. It is so hard to stay as close as I want to with them, but it is so nice when you realize that even if you don't see them everyday you will still be as close as you were when you left! That is just how it was, like no time had past and we were all just there like any other normal day!
For the first part of our AZ trip we stayed with My sister Buffy and Brother in law Adam. The kids just played the whole entire time. It was so fun for Britton to be back with his cousin Breck and to play, play, play! We also got to see, hold and love on our new nephew Jagger (Buffy's 4th child) while we were there. SUCH A SWEETIE! We had a blast hanging out with all of them, and going out to eat, doing Karioke, and just Partying it up like the good ol days.
After that we headed to my mom's and stayed a few days and it was nice to just be in the calm of her house. My mom really likes to make a place comfortable and that is just what we were! I will always joke about the way I was brought up with my mom cooking with no sugar, only with wheat ingredients, and making sure it had as little fat in it as possible, but there is still some dishes I crave that have no fat, no sugar, and no calories that she makes!
We also got to meet with my old working buddies, went to lunch at my favorite place COSTA VIDA's, and OF COURSE.... got to spend time with my Jessi B! The boys could not get enough of Jessi and I think they just WORE HER OUT!

After our AZ trip the boys went and spent FIVE weeks with Steve... it was so hard for me to have them gone that long, but I had to keep telling myself not to be selfish because he went months and months whiteout seeing them! AHHHHH! I don't have any pics of their time there, but I know they had a BLAST! They were able to see their cousins, go on four wheeler rides, swim and play Nintendo games ALL DAY! They love Steve and I am so grateful they have so much fun there!

While the boys were in Utah with Steve having a BLAST! Daniel, Edward and I all got on a plane and went to Okinawa, Japan to see Taylor and Ava. It was my first time out of the United States, AND HOPEFULLY MY LAST (I am a USA CHICK all the way)! It was fun, but being out of the states just gives me an uneasy feeling.
It was fun to see the twins and get to play with them. They are very smart little kiddos and their personalities just keep evolving. There are things I worry about with them, because of things there mom tells them about Daniel, but I do hope as they get older and get to know their father better they will come to know and understand that their father is a good man who just loves them and wants to be close to them.
We were there 14 days and ended up making really good friends. Even our shuttle driver was our friend by the end! HA HA, it is funny how things like that happen.
This was the first time the twins have seen Edward and they sure LOVED him! Edward actually began crawling while we were there too (now he is so fast). We spent a total of 9 days with them, we wanted more but their mom would not hear of it... such is how it goes... It was hard on Daniel to say good bye, but we will see them again in November and have them for five weeks.

Other than the trips, we PLAYED PLAYED PLAYED! Living on a new street we have made such good new friends and the boys love it here. We had BBQ's, play dates, beach days, swim parties and the list goes on and on, I think we did something new EVERYDAY during the summer. It was a GREAT SUMMER and full of fun, laughter, and GREAT memories.
