Daddy Dan gave the boys their first Dog, Saturn! A 60 pound Boxer that the boys absolutely are having the time of their lives with. It took Britton longer to warm up to him than Benson, but now they both can not get enough of him.
On Saturday we gave Saturn his first bath which was SO MUCH FUN! He kept shaking all of the water on to the boys and of course they laughed and thought it was a game. Then Saturn helped them build a road in their dirt in the back yard (by sliding his paw along the ground), and they jumped on the trampoline with him for hours. It is nice to see the boys taking care of something. They feed him, give him water, and even take him for walks around the back yard.
Sunday the boys went on their first bike ride of the year, and I think Benson is ready to take his training wheels off of his bike! Britton zoomed around on his trike and I think he is now ready for his own bike with training wheels. We went riding for almost 2 hours and by the end the boys were exhausted.... YEAH A LONG NAP WAS IN STORE!
I loved having a break, but two weeks was too long to have my boys gone from me. I am so happy they are back to have weekends like this!

Is that Batman washing your dog?...cool. I love/hate having a dog. They drive you crazy and melt your heart, but overall, owning a dog is great. They make life a lot more interesting. I'm sure your boys are loving it, and I bet you'll get some good stories to post out of it.
Busy mama on the weekends! glad the dog is keeping the boys busy and sounds like they are having a lot of fun with saturn. bike rides are soo much fun too. a good way to tire everyone out!!
