We just had our last visit with Taylor and Ava before they leave to Japan. We had SO MUCH FUN and did SO MUCH: Jumping on the tramp, bike rides, t-ball, shopping, ocean trips, boat viewing, popcorn and movies, and SO MUCH MORE! We hope that they take the memories with them and cherish them the way we will. Benson and Britton LOVED having them here and wanted to sleep in Taylor and Ava's room every night with them, so we let them sleep on Taylor and Ava's floor every night. When Benson and Britton woke up this morning I could hear them telling each other that Taylor and Ava were gone.... so sad. Of course Dan just drank up every second with them. Hugs, loves and fun. It broke my heart to see him tell them goodbye... It amazes me though that even though Taylor and Ava are so young they recognize the connection they have with him. I think no matter what they will ALWAYS know there is a connection with him. I loved having them here too! I was SUPER BUSY (especially when Dan had to go into work for two days), but I was having a blast! They called me "Mommy Lacy" which I loved and once again Taylor was by my side every second. I love that he becomes my little Robin whenever we have him (Like Robin is to Batman). The same could be said about Ava with her Daddy though, Dan is the ONLY one Ava let's in her space... EVER! We still are waiting on a court date to discuss custody, the down size is if we do not get one before they leave to Japan there will be no custody papers in place which means we will be at Dan's ex's mercy (not to hopeful). So we are praying we can get in before they leave. In any case, we know this is a trial and we will show our Heavenly Father that we will work our hardest to let him know that we are ready to face it and we will always meet him where he needs us to. My heart is with you always! I can't even begin to understand what a challenge this is your family's life but I sure keep you in my thoughts. Those are adorable pictures!!! I LOVE IT. I wish your family was here instead but it looks like you had sooooooo much fun. They soaked up the love for sure. LOVE YOU!
