We had SO MUCH FUN with Taylor and Ava last week! We had the opportunity to have them for four days and no second went by unspent in hugs, love and laughing. Ava AS ALWAYS is a TOTAL Daddy's girl and has Dan wrapped around her finger. I think Ava would have been content to sit on his lap all day if he would have let her. BUT on the flip side Taylor was totally attached to me and I LOVED IT!
Dan was so afraid that since he had not seen them in almost eight months and the contact with them during that time by phone calls was so limited that they would not remember him. I think that we don't give children enough credit.... They OF COURSE knew who he was, the bond is so strong and nothing can ever take away the fact that he is their daddy. It was so cute to see them both light up as soon as they saw him walk into the room.
Dan and I sang to them the first night and we made the mistake of singing them "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree" and that is all we heard and all they wanted sang to them the rest of the time, but we loved it!
They both are such sweet children and I am hoping we will be able to build strong relationships with them now that we will all be out on the east coast. The boys are so excited to have a new brother and sister and it will be fun being able to see them become a part of each others worlds.

I can't believe the time has come for you to actually leave :-( Those babies are so cute and I can't wait to have a picture with ALL of the family together once you get moved and have the twins with the boys. I'm happy I got to see you, Dan, and the boys today. Sorry I couldn't stay too long. I almost didn't keep it together...could have balled like a baby. I will miss you so much. When I asked Benson if he was going to miss me he said, "Aren't you coming to North Carolina?" Pulled on my tiny little heart strings. Anyway, I love you all! Be safe and CALL ASAP!
Those are very cute pictures. I hope everything is going well as you guys get settled together. Cascade misses you(A LOT!), but I'm happy to see you are doing great without us!

Both of your kids are so adorable! Having twins is so much fun! You both look so happy and I'm happy that you are finally all together again:)
